2.3.9.2 Maintenance Update #4

PLEASE REDOWNLOAD 2.3.9.2, I FIXED AND ADDED SEVERAL THINGS
PLEASE NOTE THAT I'M NOT GOING TO UPDATE THIS ANYMORE FOR QUITE SOME TIME,     PROBABLY UNTIL CHRISTMAS OR NEXT YEAR SINCE I'M BUSY PLAYING STARBOUND              UNTIL I'M JUST A BRAINDEAD ZOMBIE. YOU SHOULD REALLY CHECK THIS AWESOME                                                                              GAME OUT!

Here we go again!

I got some small but AWESOME changes for you!

User Interface:

I fixed the version history link in Login screen (Release Notes), changed several Panels especially People which was a bit too broad by default and i fixed Notices missing the "send" button.

First noticable changes are probably the (again) changed loadingscreens and the general redo of the loadingscreen which will now nicely slide out that "Cancel" button when the TP or login is done.

Mouselook:

THIS.

For those who are blind, your body is no longer locked to your camera which was always locked at the center of your Avatar. This changes NAO. Your camera is always locked to your HEAD that means if your Avatar runs around, you (your camera) will do too! also, animations now have a way greater impact on your Mouselook feel, they will add bobbing n stuff depending on your animation ofcourse. Please note that this is prone to bug out completely on totally unrealistic and spastic animations like doing 10 flips to walk around.

Suggestion: Use this feature in combination with Mouselook Smoothing.

You can find the option to toggle this feature off in Preferences - Camera - Mouselook Options.

Also fixed forever shall now be attachments bugging out in Mouselook, ever seen when your weapons or hand attachments move wierdly away from where they should be when going into Mouselook and especially when crouching? FIXED! So much thanks to Adeon Writer for this fix.

Windlight:

I added all the old Windlight presets minus my own "Realistic" ones since they were designed for pre-Exodus Post Render.

Snapshots:

enjoy,
Niran

2.3.8 Maintainance Update #3

Nothing to see here, please move along.

Let's get to the important stuff since i'm not in mood to talk around it this time.

User Interface:

I fixed the Group Info panels since the lower half of them were totally missing since the last update in which i slightly cleaned up their code a bit and i switched the Accordions to Tabs because usability you know.

I re-added the RLVa loadingscreen tip and fixed a few others because they were pointing into the wrong Preferences panels.

I made a few new loadingscreen pictures since i wanted to see something new, some old and some totally new ones were included, the style is subject to change.

I added some basic German Translation for Preferences (copied over from Nirans and fixed some overlapping and not fitting parts). Super WIP.

Rendering:

I fixed my Post Effects not working when Ambient Occlusion and Shadows were disabled (both at the same time), rigged alpha Meshes however are still not yet fixed.

'same object re-attach' Crash:

Temporarly fixed, absolutely not caring what could happen because of this fix.

RLVa:

Updated to the very latest changes.

Alpha 2.3.7 - Maintenance Update #2

Yis.

Today's the day of all days! nah! Just another update.

User Interface:

Biggest addition in this Update is the inclusion of the last round of missing Preferences options, most of them...if not all of them in "Display" tab. Nearly all LoD options have been added, all finetuning options otherwise only seen in an extra tab or in the Machinima Sidebar have been added to the main "Display" tab, all of them sorted and organized into their coresponding pack of options. You will find all Depth of Field sliders in the Depth of Field section, all Tone Mapping related stuff in the Tone Mapping section and so on. This Update makes the Preferences floater 98% complete, the other 2% are fixing, moving, removing, enabling, disabling or adding new options if i missed one or two out... to get an idea how many options there are just in the "Display" tab, have a look at this:

Also included, as you may notice, are "Default" buttons that will revert those slider (finetuning) options back to their Default. HURRAY!

PS: Camera Preset sliders work too ;)

Second biggest change here are the changed background textures for "Toasts". Chat messages, On/Offline notifications, Do you want to quit notification, You accepted friend request X notification etc. All these are "Toasts" and now have a greenish background image just like the "Tools" floater.

Also: Nearby Chat will no longer flash your toolbar button because you or someone else wrote in it, no matter if Nearby Chat is seperated or connected in the main CHUI floater, no more perma-flash in chatty regions!

Rendering:

Slight adjustments were made to my Tone Mapping and Color Correction Defaults to make the prettyness a tiny bit more colorfull and darker.

Misc:

Other than that nearly invisible fixes in several places took place, nothing special or fancy, just little perfectionistic thingy, background color changes, aligning fixes and that usual stuff. You can now also change your Keyboard layout again, it needs a restart however.

Snapshots:

Have fun,
Niran

2.3.6 Alpha - Maintenance Update

Yup.

Here we go, a whole bunch of fixes for bugs that have been reported...mostly feedback that is totally invisible and went to me directly instead of using my Blog so everyone can see it.

MU Pose Chat and Auto-close OOC Chat have been added, Color Correction has gotten a toggle in my Machinima Sidebar, Sepia was moved below Greyscale and linked because both options are connected to each other since Sepia needs Greyscale in order to look like real Sepia, a bunch of new actions (Offer Teleport, Share, Pay, Mute, Call and Show on Map) have been added to SLURL styled names, the Experimental Youtube background on Login can now be disabled, Voice Indicators in Friendlist have been slightly changed.

*takes a deep breath*

Grouplist and Blocklist have been upgraded and were redesigned to look like the Friendlist does, also Groupcount and Groupslots left have been added to the panel...

Preferences has been overhauled everywhere, widgets were realigned, reorganized, moved, added, removed, enabled and disabled, a few of those options are the Quickbutton options for the Navigationbar customisation, they are now enabled since i added the ability to hide/show them again.

The Main Menu has been cleaned up a bit, Network stats have been lengthen a bit and several bugs and problems were fixed including the Webprofile beeing broken, your own Webprofile beeing broken, the Place Profile beeing broken when beeing redirected there from Search, the Snapshot refresh label was unreadable and huge and some other minor changes...

Also a crash has been potentially fixed that seems to happen whenever your Inventory bugs out leaving you unable to take off stuff out of your Inventory or wearing it because it is already worn but not shown in Inventory etc.

Also check out this cool pic a friend drew of my Avatar =3

I think its perfect. Hit my chocolate side like nothing else. \o/
PS: You can see the picture i gave him for drawing me below, its the second one in "Snapshots".

2.3.4 Alpha

DOOOODS. Facebook!

It's implemented! Totally not of interest, let's start with something way more interesting.

RLVa is NOT implemented yet but will be with the next update which i will release as soon as i implement it and it will contain nothing else, no bugfixes no nothing, just RLVa.

So what's new in 2.3.4 you ask?

Quick rundown time.
I added Qarls Aligning tool, the ability to derender Objects and Avatars, derender Fullbrights and as mentioned above the Facebook Connect feature aswell as a WIP Even Recorder.

Rendering:

Last update i added the Greyscale and Posterization post effect, now i added the Sepia post effect and made all 3 easily adjustable via the Machinima Sidebar which now includes 3 sliders to set the strength for Greyscale, Sepia and how Posterized your picture should be! AWESOME.

This update should also contain LL's AMD crashfix.

User Interface:

I fixed the onscreen build information beeing occluded by my Topbar (moved those informations a bit down), fixed some disalignments after Facebook merge, tweaked some other places, cleaned up the main menu a bit and....

MADE A TOTALLY NEW PREFERENCES WINDOW! Not technically but visually.

I think these do explain themself, don't they?

Note that you will find many options beeing greyed out (not working yet) and many others still missing. That's intentional because, checking them all, adding, removing and totally redoing a whole floater like this takes time and feedback.

Did you also notice that i changed the Friendlist? it looks smaller, more compact and still shows all the information you need, just the voice indicator is still WIP which is just a grey square around each profile picture.

Also the CHUI message panel opens to the left now, it was annoying that CHUI was designed to be used on the left side instead of the right where it belongs like all private messages.

Last but not least, Pie Menus. We all love them. They are fast, look fancy at times and don't produce as much eyecancer as their ugly, boring grey dropdown counterpart.

Niran

Here we go!

Totally untested, half-assed and without any love and mood and/or time to do anything right now, i present you the 2.3.3 Alpha which is basically just a merge with the latest Linden Release (including the new particle rendering functions) and Linden Bear which is a collection of misc fixes (including a fix for an ATI crash some people seemed to have with the latest driver version)

As said, this Release is completely untested, use it at your own risk!

Changes include a slight Machinima Sidebar overhaul, aswell as some new options there and most importantly the Greyscale and Posterization post processing options which i were showing off in my group, however, these arn't finished in any way keep that in mind.
